Coho Salmon continue to trickle into Puget sound while the bulk of the run has not arrived yet. Pink salmon are still jumping everywhere, but the bite has really slowed.
Landed more Pinks than Coho again today and fell short of 4 fish limits the second day in a row. With Coho numbers increasing and Pink numbers dropping, we will likely see an average closer to 3 keepers per person. The limit is 2 Salmon “Plus 2 additional Pink salmon”. So when the Pinks are gone in another week or so the limit will be effectively 2 Salmon per person except for the occasional late Pink caught.
The shortage of Pinks will be compensated for by the superior size and quality of the Coho salmon.
